Volleyball Coach/Teacher
Bellevue ISD is taking applications/resumes for Teacher/Coach. Bellevue is a small rural school located between Henrietta and Bowie, Texas on Hwy 287. Bellevue has approved the addition of the sport of volleyball, and we are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic coach that is willing and has the ability to lead our program. The primary responsibility is to provide classroom instruction and to coach student/athletes in sport assigned. The purpose is to provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for growth while providing an opportunity to participate in extracurricular athletics.
Performance Responsibilities
Develops lesson plans and instructional materials for subject area, and translates lesson plans into learning experiences to develop pertinent sequential assignments, challenge students, and best utilize the available time for instruction.
Ensures that student conduct conforms to the school's standards and school district policies, and establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiated instruction based upon student learning styles.
Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.
Qualifications Profile
Texas Certification in Subject area preferred but not required
Head Coaching experience preferred but not required
Experience in coaching volleyball
Enthusiastic and energetic
Timeline
Will be taking applications until end of March.
Interviews will begin after Spring Break.
Would like for the school board to hire in April board meeting.
