Lead Teacher/Admin and Secondary Math

Are you wishing to begin an administrative career? Bellevue ISD is taking applications/resumes for Lead Teacher/Admin with Secondary School Math.  Bellevue is a small rural school located between Henrietta and Bowie, Texas on Hwy 287.  The primary responsibility is to provide classroom instruction in Secondary Math for half the day, to continue to qualify for our TIA allotment, and then perform “other” administrative type duties.


Performance Responsibilities

  • Develops lesson plans and instructional materials for Secondary Math, and translates lesson plans into learning experiences to develop pertinent sequential assignments, challenge students, and best utilize the available time for instruction.
  • Lead instructional coordination for the Math and Social Studies departments and manage all local testing and ESL programs
  • Perform Junior High administrative task including helping with Master schedule, conducting teacher observations, and overseeing UIL and ARD meetings

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of high school math curriculum and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiated instruction based upon student learning styles.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage dual credit, student grades,
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.

 

Qualifications Profile

  • Texas Certification in Secondary Mathematics

Work will require prolonged or irregular hours.
